U.S. Senate

A U.S. Senator represents their entire state in the federal government. Their main job is to create, debate, and vote on national laws that affect the whole country. Each state has two Senators, and they serve six-year terms, no limits. The next Senator election for the other seat is up in 2030.

Commissioner of General Land Office

The Texas General Land Office (GLO) is the state’s oldest agency, established in 1836, and is responsible for stewardship of Texas’ 13 million acres of state-owned land — including over 3,400 miles of coastline, oil and mineral deposits, and historic sites. Serves four-year terms, no limit.
